Calling out for your old, pre-loved, English non-fiction/fiction books.

Led by Sixth Formers Iona, Natasha, Lily and Lara, BSAK's Charity Committee is partnering with The Lions Club in Kenya for a wonderful new initiative called Old Books For New Eyes.  The books will be packaged and sent to underprivileged schools in Kenya, where brand new libraries are being built to provide opportunities for children of all ages to read more and improve their literacy skills. 

Currently 25,000 books have been donated and over 11 libraries have been built.  We are very excited to be part of something that is helping children in another part of the world and sharing our love of reading.  BSAK has set up collection points in Form Groups in Secondary and Year Group Areas in Primary and volunteers will collect the books at the end of the week.
