Art is taught to all students. From Year 9 students are able to choose specific pathways that lead to the study of Fine Art, Photography and Graphic Design at GCSE and A Level.
At all times students are encouraged to passionately develop creative thinking and problem solving and how they visually express themselves through experimental and analytical observational investigation.
Yearly exhibitions and work exhibited externally celebrate our students work and a new professional quality central gallery space now holds exhibitions throughout the year of student creativity.
International projects set up with UK universities provide our students with the opportunity to work with and receive creative support form degree students and industry professionals. External trips play an important component of our curriculum with Berlin and New York previous destinations.
The Art Department has excellent facilities spread over four art studios where traditional and contemporary methods are energetically and enthusiastically fused to create the diverse, dynamic and highly regarded artwork for which BSAK is renowned.
