A Community Approach
This week a number of you would have seen the famous Red Arrows Display Team grace the skies over the Corniche. I am sure some of you will be attending the Formula 1 that concludes this weekend at Yas race track. It is interesting that both groups often analyse each other's performances. They are both elite teams and on the surface the racing driver or pilot are the focus. However, with more information and greater insight you soon come to realise that behind both the pilot or the F1 driver there is a huge team of experts ensuring that the final product, be that a race or display is exceptional.
If I may put this in an educational setting, at BSAK our students are equivalent to our display pilot or F1 driver. To ensure they are as best prepared as possible there is a huge team behind them starting with family, teachers and support staff. Only by all of these groups pulling together working for one common goal do we ensure that the student is best placed to perform at their own highest level.
This whole community approach to a common goal is one aspect that I love about BSAK and makes it stand out to be that elite performer. However, to ensure we stay at the top it is important we continually analyse and reflect upon our performances. This is where an open and honest dialogue is required and something we, as a school, wholeheartedly encourage, even if sometimes it may be difficult to hear.
