My absolute love of opera came from my first singing teacher in Serbia, Georgi Minov, who I studied with at the age of 15. He was a university professor of music and his teaching style was so inspirational that I quickly fell in love with classical music, and was determined to make singing my career.
As a country, Serbia's passion for music is so strong that all young people are given music lessons for free, from school age all the way through university. Although I started out by obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Law, I went on to take two Masters in Performing Arts in Serbia and Austria and attended numerous master classes. Since then I've performed and taught all around the world, and have been privileged to sing at the Olympic Games in China, Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony in Oslo in 2011, as well with the Firdaus Orchestra at Expo 2020 in Dubai.
Ana has been singing across the Emirates since 2017 and joins the BSAK Music Department as the Head of Singing. She enjoys the fact that being a singing teacher means being constantly inspired and challenged and her favourite quote is from Ella Fitzgerald, "The only thing better than singing is more singing!"
