BSAK students have achieved the highest ever percentage of A*-A grades with almost half of all grades (46%) either A* or A.

Headmaster Mark Leppard MBE commented 'It is fantastic that, as the School has celebrated its 50th anniversary, our Sixth Form students have rounded off the celebrations in the very best way possible, by achieving record-breaking results. This is absolutely wonderful and follows an exceptional year of exceeding expectations; with two Outstanding inspections and winning the Schools Compared Awards for Best British School and Best Post-16 Education in the UAE. I could not be more proud of our School, our students, our staff and our amazing community’.

These impressive results include many outstanding individual performances. Six students obtained all A* grades, almost a third achieved 3 A*-A grades and 41 achieved 3 A* -B grades. In total 63% of students achieved at least 1 grade A or A*.

These results have allowed BSAK students to secure their places at some of the best and most competitive courses and universities in the United Kingdom, United States and around the world. These include, Oxford, LSE, Imperial and Durham; Columbia, Duke, NYU and John Hopkins.

Teresa Woulfe, Head of Secondary, commented: 'These brilliant results are the product of the hard work and dedication of our amazing students, supported every step of the way by our outstanding teachers and support staff. I am immensely proud of these achievements, but I am even more proud of the way these have been achieved. As an inclusive, non-academically selective school we pride ourselves on providing pathways and opportunities for all students. The success of our BTEC results testify to this, as does the A Level success across the board. More than this, BSAK is deeply committed to a truly holistic education, and beyond exam success our students have been able to grow and flourish, not just academically but personally as well. They leave us now as mature, confident and well-rounded individuals able and capable of making their own positive mark in the world.'
