Three BSAK teams (7 Year 5/6 students and 11 Year 7/8 students), recently competed in the first Middle Eastern Tournament of Minds (TOMs) competition. The students had to present a STEM based challenge that they’d had 8 weeks to prepare for and then complete a spontaneous challenge on the day in front of a panel of judges. The STEM based challenge was particularly demanding and involved designing a machine that randomly delivers a subset of balls to determine which of more than a million candidates from a competition, would move to the next round - to crew a spaceship to Mars!
We are very proud of all participants, with two of the teams being awarded honours – well done!
