The pinnacle of the rugby season is the Dubai 7s and for the 4th consecutive year BSAK entered a girls team. From a strong squad training every week at School, it was a tough selection to pick the 12 girls.
On Thursday the first game started with a strong win against the Hurricanes. The next group games were against the Knighteagles and DESC and the team finished second in the group. Finally, after a long Friday, and under the floodlights, the girls faced a quarter-final with Al Ain Amblers. This game could have gone either way but a resilient performance led to the girls qualifying for the semi-finals on Saturday.
Running on to the pitch for the semi-final the girls were the highest performing School left in the competition. It wasn't our day in the semi-final, losing to the reigning champions, Dubai Exiles.
