The Girls and Boys’ U19 Rugby teams embraced the opportunity to compete in the Annual Emirates Airline Dubai Sevens Tournament.  For many of the team members, this was their first opportunity to play at this renowned event. The players certainly rose to the occasion with both teams playing well in their groups and moving on to win their quarter final games.  During their semi-finals their determined play and ever growing confidence was on show, however was not quite enough to take them further in the competition. They should all be very proud of their achievements and the rugby coaches are already looking forward to next year.

The Old Boys’ rugby team and Girls’ netball teams wore the school badge with pride and in the true spirit of sport, clearly enjoying every moment of their tournaments.  Mr Thompson & Mr Byrne worked tirelessly to bring these teams together to celebrate the Golden Anniversary year at BSAK. Mr Thompson rose to the challenge as player/coach, perhaps scoring one of the best tries of the tournament!
