BSAK have maintained strong community links with the Japanese School in Abu Dhabi for over 13 years. Each year in Term 1, Year 5 children come to visit BSAK and later in the term a group of  BSAK Year 5's visit the children in their School.

We have a lovely welcome assembly, enjoy singing songs together and then the children do activities with each other. This year we are having a portrait drawing activity. The children also spend break time together playing on our playground. Gillian Campbell, Head of Year 5 comments, ‘It always amazes me the many ways that the children find to communicate as quite often they don't have a shared language’.

Year 5 are also supporting Japan in the upcoming FIFA Asian games and are hoping to meet up with their Japanese friends when they go to the stadium to support their team in their football match. We are looking forward to our visit to the Japanese school on the 2nd December.
