Congratulations to the BSAK Primary sailing team for winning the Inter-School Sailing Series 2017/18! 

Over the course of this year, our team have completed level 1 and 2 of their sailing certification, whilst forging friendships and building team spirit with peers from the Canadian International School (CIS), with whom they have shared many sessions. 

 These fun weeks culminated with the Final Regatta last weekend against the UAE and International teams, including CIS, Al Muna, Pearl Primary, Noukhada and many more. 

 BSAK parents were very proud to see Sophia (Year 5) win 1^st and Katerina (Year 4) 3^rd, in the International Schools Individual Female category. 

Hector (Year 5) and Hamza (Year 4) podiumed 1^st and 3^rd place respectively in the International Schools Individual Male category, with BSAK winning the overall Inter-School Sailing Series – go BSAK!

Throughout the competition, all students showed fantastic team effort both on and off the water. They would give a helping hand at each “push off”; starting each race when they were not racing themselves. The day isn’t finished when the final boat comes in.... each student knew exactly what they had to do. Their roles included sharing jobs to wash, dismantle and tidy away their boats and equipment. Real discipline and commitment was shown by all - well done everyone involved!

The school, team and parents are thankful to Abu Dhabi Sailing Club and Abu Dhabi Sports Council for giving us such an amazing opportunity!
